Historical and contemporary: do they go together?
\n<\/em><\/strong>This was the main challenge when the owner of Helmstraat 5 took the initiative to renovate apartments and start up the construction of new buildings.<\/p>\n

A grand townhouse from the beginning of the last century (1902) was rewarded with a modern penthouse in the style of the end of last century. An innovating path, instead of a historical one, was deliberately chosen; no nostalgic details or decorations but functional and clear materialization. On garden level the entrance leads to a warm, atmospheric ground floor, a spacious 6-room apartment with two separate entrances, a perfect combination for a practice at home.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

In the middle of the building a transparent elevator connects both floors. On the first and second floor: a spacious 6-room apartment, both with 2 entrances.
\nAs the elevator rises, the room gets lighter, thanks to a lantern above the highest roof level which creates daylight in staircase, elevator shaft and access platforms to the apartments. The atmosphere gets lighter and more modern, a journey through time.<\/p>\n

Once arrived in the penthouse, you will enjoy a wonderful view of Scheveningen. You can enjoy the sun from sunrise to sunset; an awning will keep out annoying flare and heat. An almost Mediterranean atmosphere<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
